Project Goals: Web presence, interactivity
In my role as Director of Marketing for East Renfrewshire Community Enterprise Trust, the web site for the PowerDown project was created in June 2010, in spite of the radiant summer sunshine which subconsciously influenced the site’s design.
PowerDown is a free energy awareness and carbon reduction project working in the towns of Barrhead, Eaglesham, and Waterfoot. The project, which aims to reduce nearly 10,000 tonnes of carbon emissions from the atmosphere, has been funded by the Climate Challenge Fund of the Scottish Government.
The web site includes a fun project blog and an interactive map which will chart the project’s progress on a street-by-street level.
